A school in Dubai recently installed a new pipe system for their air conditioner system. The new installation had to undergo a full testing of their pipe system in order to start its functioning during the Middle East summers. Khansaheb Sykes helped them out with a quick solution by performing a chilled water flushing technique with few of their pumps.

High flow, high head pump to test equipment for oil industry

Khansaheb Sykes were approached to provide a high flow pump to test specialist equipment used to accurately monitor flow of hydrocarbon products during transfer at an oil refinery.

Using a single high pressure and high flow Sykes pump from our Khansaheb Sykes pump rental fleet a high flow rate of 900m3/h at a maximum working pressure of 8bar was achieved.

This was done through using a Sykes UVO200/150F (D70) pump capable of achieving up to 1100m3/h at 8 bar pressure.

Complete pump system from Khansaheb Sykes – including all connecting flanged steel wire-armoured 8” hose, gate valves, non return valves, fuel tanks and 24 hour onsite maintenance.

Specialist pumping solution for district cooling pipe flushing (Abu Dhabi)

Khansaheb Sykes were approached to provide a high flow flushing solution for the pipe network at a district cooling plant in Abu Dhabi.

Using a series of high pressure and high flow rate pumps available within the Khansaheb Sykes pump rental fleet a high flow rate of 2,500m3/h at a maximum working pressure of 8bar was achieved.

This was done through the combination of two Sykes UVO200/150F (D70) pumps (each capable of achieving up to 1100m3/h at 8 bar pressure) and one UVO150/100E pump (capable of a flow rate of up to 400m3/h at 8 bar pressure). read more
