The Sykes GP100 dewatering pumps were ordered by our trading partner in Oman, Al Ansari Trading Enterprise LLC for a client in the government sector in Oman. The dewatering pumps as per the client’s requirement can handle both clean and dirty water containing limited solids.  read more

Lake Overpumping in Dubai by Khansaheb Sykes

Khansaheb Sykes was recently approached for a lake overpumping project location within a very high end development of Emirates Hills, Dubai.

A local contractor had undertaken the project for rectification work of the storm drain pipeline network which connects the lakes with the Dubai Municipality storm drain network. The system required silenced generator sets and all electrical dewatering pumps to provide a silent system that reduced the noise levels while working as we were surrounded by residential villas from all sides. The installation included a 2 kilo meter HPDE pipeline and a vehicle/pedestrian ramp. read more

Deep Well Dewatering for Commercial Tower in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Abu Dhabi is known for its well-developed residential and commercial towers which reach the skies. Khansaheb Sykes was approached to support construction of a similar upcoming project by an efficient installation of a deep well dewatering system located at the prestigious Al Reem Island.

The construction area was spread across 155 linear meters which utilized a Diaphragm Wall shoring design. Our site engineers have strategically installed a series of 9 deep wells to prevent underground water from disturbing the construction site. The system was installed to enable excavation of up to 18.75 meters and lay out a strong foundation. read more
